There is no universal answer, but there is a reliable way to work it out. Four factors determine how quickly a home falls out of shape: how many people live there, whether there are pets, how much of the floor is carpet or hard surface, and how much time you're realistically willing to spend yourself between visits.
Weekly
Right for households of four or more, homes with shedding pets, families with young children, and anyone who wants the house to simply always be presentable without thinking about it.
Weekly visits are individually the cheapest because there is the least to do each time. The total monthly spend is higher, but the per-visit rate is at its lowest and the house never drops below standard.
Bi-weekly
This is what most of our customers choose, and for good reason. Two weeks is roughly how long an average home takes to go from clean to visibly needing attention — so a fortnightly visit catches it right at the turn.
It suits couples, small families and anyone doing light upkeep themselves between visits. It's the best balance of cost and result for the majority of homes.
Monthly
Works for single occupants, couples who travel often, tidy households without pets, and smaller apartments.
Be aware that a month of accumulation means each visit is closer to a light deep clean, so monthly visits cost more individually. If your home is genuinely low-traffic, that's fine. If it isn't, you'll be paying deep-clean-adjacent rates every month — at which point bi-weekly is usually better value.
One-time only
Perfectly sensible for a specific event: before hosting, after a party, at the change of seasons, or when a property has been empty. No commitment needed, and no pressure from us to convert it into a plan.
The frequency mistake that costs money
Choosing a frequency that's too low to keep up with your household means every visit starts from a backlog. You pay more per visit, the results are less consistent, and the house never quite gets ahead.
Start with the honest answer about your household, not the optimistic one. You can always adjust — we let customers change frequency at any time without penalty.
